What happens after I make a purchase?
After your purchase, you will get an email from us to synchronice the payment with the user of the App. You can also purchase directly via Play Store or App Store, but if you are making a gift for a loved one, it is probably easier to do it via web.
If you have problems with the payment process let us know via email (hola@rositalongevity.com) or with the chat icon on this website. We know payment processes can be frustrating for people who are less tech savvy.
How do I cancel?
You can easily cancel on the App, with easy to find links in your account inside the App. We know that User Experience is often tricky, and seniors are often target of scams and making it difficult to cancel subscriptions. That's why you can also cancel easily via email. We are here to make life easy, not hard.
You also have a 7-day free trial when you first subscribe. Hopefully you dont have to cancel, but we make it easy.
Is this service ideal for me?
Our service is designed for people around 60-80. Young seniors who start to feel that their bodies are changing and they need to adapt their habits accordingly. Their objectives have to do with pain, perceived risk of falling, lose weight, feel more agile, or feel that they want to be stronger, or just that they want the companionship, community and motivation to keep a routine, and our professionals help. We often learn that their primary doctor was the one recommending them to use us, which is always nice to hear.
Chronic pain is often the trigger why people start using us. 70% of seniors suffer some form of osteoarthritis, and that pain is degenerative and will only get worse. Treating it with drugs can serve in the short term but should not be a solution for 30 or more years.
We also have users above 90 and in their 50s and even 40s, often because they cannot easily lay down or need some lighter and safer exercises.
Will my health improve?
It will depend on your condition, objectives and commitment, but physical exercise is proven to improve health, and the World Health Organization recommends 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week for seniors (and most seniors do very little (walking does not count)). We can tell you that 86% of our users feel an increment in their Perceived Health 1 month after starting using it properly (more than 12 days a month). There is also a significant increase in strength, agility and balance, plus the empowerment they get from the education we give them.
What does my subscription include?
We have a single subscription model. When you become a user, you get access to the tests, the recorded classes, the live classes, the chat with trainers, the adaptation of the plan, the biomarkers and anything that we might add. We often run additional bootcamps from time to time which are also included (e.g. a few weeks focused on fasting education, or psycho-nutrition, etc).
Who are you people?
We are a small team of entrepreneurs, physiotherapists, software developers, biomedical engineers, bio-technologists and designers. We spun off from the Longevity School of Cofrentes, Valencia, Spain.
Our cofounder Clara has been the director at the longevity school for 10 years. Our cofounder Juan has been building digital products for 15 years. Our cofounder David has been building medical technology and health networks for 15 years.
Our director of longevity Miguel Angel is an MD with 35 years of experience specialized in longevity optimization (and he says he will never retire) and chronic musculoskeletal diseases. Our medical advisor Jose Viña is one of the most reputable voices in the world in geriatrics including frailty reversion and Alzheimer research.
What if I cannot afford it?
Our yearly plan is around $13/month, which we believe is very affordable when you consider all the services you get. Most people save costs in just a couple of physiotherapy sessions they had to pay out of pocket for pain (and the taxi is probably more than that the monthly cost).
However, we believe that every person should have a Healthy Longevity Plan, and if you cannot afford it, you can apply to our scholarships, sending us an email at hola@rositalongevity.com and letting us know your situation. We prioritize people with low incomes (<$1000 in US and <€600 in Spain) who also support children or whose children are unemployed.
How do you spend the money?
35% of our expenses are in production with trainers. We have a high ratio of user to trainer and a top quality production studio to give you a wonderful experience that motivates you to keep going.
30% goes in software developers, researchers, designers of the App, and the rest of the team adding new biomarkers, tests, etc.
10% goes into cloud and servers, to deliver the classes to your phone. Sending video in high definition is expensive.
25% goes to marketing so we can grow
We currently do not have profits and we sustain ourselves with venture investment, but with your support we will be able to help millions of people.
Can I get reimbursement from my insurance company?
Not yet but we are working on it. If you want to help us, ask your insurance company to include us as part of their services and maybe they will accelerate :)
